Abstract: Images of the 1955 National Eisteddfod of Wales at Pwllheli, including images of the children's day care nursery (E55/TB26), child dancers who partook in a concert (E55/TB27-28), members of Wales International (Cymry ar Wasgar) (E55/TB29 and E55/TB39-40) and Mrs Trevor Lloyd-Roberts, the leader of Wales International (Cymry ar Wasgar), with Erfyl Fychan (E55/TB38), Lady Olwen Carey Evans opening the arts and crafts exhibition (E55/TB32-33), members of the Anglesey High School Orchestra (E55/TB34-35), a brass band from Treorchy (E55/TB36), Dyfnallt escorting W. J. Gruffydd from the pavilion, with Trefin, Crwys and Cynan (E55/TB37), and views of streets in Pwllheli (E55/RD1-4).

Minimal tonal adjustments using levels and curves in PhotoShop. Master files archived as pc format TIFFS. On-screen display files resized and adjusted for viewing on gamma 2.2 monitors in PhotoShop and saved in JPEG format. 19 image files; Heidelberg Nexscan F4100 capture device using Linocolor v6.0.4 software. Filter settings: light contour-0.5, dark countour-0.5, smoothnes-0.6, countour width-1.0, scan spot size-4.0. Target resolution for hi-res capture was 300dpi at a factor of 450% resulting in +/- 6000 x 5000 pixels; screen res:+/- 600 x 500 pixels at 72dpi; screen-res and thumbnail copies use jpeg compression at setting: 7 in Adobe Photoshop v6.0; 8 bit grayscale; hi-res TIFFs: Gray Gamma 1.8 icc profile embedded.
