Abstract: John Charles, Geoff Charles's son (on the left) working on behalf of the film unit of Ysgol Ffriars Bangor. He went to Capel Celyn to record the destruction (GCH14084, GCH14085, GCH14086). A large congregation attended the service on 28 September 1963, and there were no parking problems on the country road (GCH14089, GCH14097, GCH14098, GCH14135, GCH14136, GCH14137). Members of the congregation at the last service sign the visitors' book (GCH14090, GCH14091, GCH14092). The Bible from the pulpit was signed by Mrs Jennie J Jones, secretary of the church. The Bible was signed before being presented to Mr Arthur Jones, who represented Cemmaes Church, Anglesey. With Mrs Jones, is her husband, Mr Arthur Jones on the right (GCH14093, GCH14131), Dafydd Roberts, formerly of Cae Fadog and treasurer of the chapel for 41 years (GCH14094), A group otside the chapel, from the left Mrs Evans Ciltalgarth, Eurwyn Williams Tyrpeg, Edith Tyddyn and Maggie Tyddyn Capel Celyn, Mrs Jones, Coedle, Arenig, Mrs Roberts Cae Fadog, Enid Jones, Coedle, Arenig, Dafydd Roberts, Cae Fadog, Ieuan Jones, Coedle, Arenig, Henry Owen, Y Filltir Gerrig, Gwilym Thomas Coedle, Arenig, John Lewis Jones Coedle, Cadwaladr Edwards, Penbryn Mawr, Elsie Jones Coedle, and Alun Edwards Penbryn Mawr (GCH14095, GCH14096, GCH14105). Two policemen keeping an eye on the proceedings, Wil Jones, Frongoch and Ken Williams, Bala (GCH14099, GCH14101). The last wedding had taken place in the chapel a fortnight before, and the couple, Mr a Mrs Ellis William Jones, Bala, attended the last service (GCH14100, GCH14132). Gwyn Williams, from the BBC who is leaning across the wall, with his film crew recording the last minutes of the chapel's life (GCH14102, GCH14138). The three ministers at the last service, Syr David Hughes Parry, president of the North Wales Association, The Rev Evan Lynch, Secretary of the Presbytery, and the Rev G R Jones, formerly of Llandderfel, and who had preached at Capel Celyn every year since 1921 (GCH14103, GCH14106, GCH14133), Watcyn o Feirion was an elder in Capel Celyn from 1911 to 1947, and is seen with Euron, Megan, Eurgain, John, Elwyn, Ann, Deiniol and Tryweryn, outside the chapel (GCH14104, GCH14107), Maesydail and Gweirglodd Dda farms(GCH14263).
