Abstract: Images of the proclaiming ceremony of Powys Provincial Eisteddfod at Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant, showing children dressed for the ceremony (GCH08693, GCH08694), the raising of the Hirlas Horn and the Hirlas Horn procession (GCH08695, GCH08697), Jean Edwards bringing and presenting the 'Aberthged' flowers to Archdruid Rhosier (GCH08696, GCH08698), two women playing harps (GCH08699), Archdruid Rhosier making the proclamation, and other views of the proclamation (GCH08700, GCH08701, GCH08702), the singing of the Gorsedd Hyms (GCH08703), Miss Janet Jones, Welsh Tourist & Holidays Board hostess addressing the ceremony (GCH08704), new members of the Gorsedd (GCH08705), and a brass band leading the procession through the streets (GCH08706),.

Minimal tonal adjustments using levels and curves in PhotoShop. Master files archived as pc format TIFFS. On-screen display files resized and adjusted for viewing on gamma 2.2 monitors in PhotoShop and saved in JPEG format. 16 image files; Heidelberg Nexscan F4100 capture device using Linocolor v6.0.4 software. Filter settings: light contour-0.5, dark countour-0.5, smoothnes-0.6, countour width-1.0, scan spot size-4.0. Target resolution for hi-res capture was 300dpi at a factor of 450% resulting in +/- 6000 x 5000 pixels; screen res:+/- 600 x 500 pixels at 72dpi; screen-res and thumbnail copies use jpeg compression at setting: 7 in Adobe Photoshop v6.0; 8 bit grayscale; hi-res TIFFs: Gray Gamma 1.8 icc profile embedded.
