Abstract: Carneddog (Richard Griffith) and his wife, Catrin, take one last look at the mountains from which, for eighty years, came the inspiration that made him famous in north Wales for his poetry. Sadly, they have to leave their mountain farm on the slopes of Snowdonia, moving to Hinckley, Leicestershire, to be with their son. The image published in 'Y Cymro' (gcc03709) became one of the most well-known 20th century Welsh images.
