Abstract: Images of a Christmas Day visit by the Mayor and Mayoress of Oswestry to several hospitals in the Oswestry area to wish the patients a happy Christmas, showing the mayor with the Matron, Superintendent, staff and Santa Claus at Morda Hospital (GCH08972), Brenda Phillips receiving a present at Oswestry District Hospital (GCH08973), staff members receiving awards (GCH08974, GCH08978), the Morda domestic staff (GCH08975), nurses singing carols (GCH08976), patients (GCH08977, GCH08983), the mayor with Santa Claus (GCH08979), a nurse helping Santa to dress (GCH08980), nurses with children (GCH08981), nurses decorating the wards (GCH08982), a group of nurses standing under space-themed decorations (GCH08984), the Chinese scene, Cinderella scene and fairytale scene (GCH12965, GCH08985, GCH08986), and a nurse holding the turkey at Greenfield Hospital (GCH08987).

Minimal tonal adjustments using levels and curves in PhotoShop. Master files archived as pc format TIFFS. On-screen display files resized and adjusted for viewing on gamma 2.2 monitors in PhotoShop and saved in JPEG format. 17 image files; Heidelberg Nexscan F4100 capture device using Linocolor v6.0.4 software. Filter settings: light contour-0.5, dark countour-0.5, smoothnes-0.6, countour width-1.0, scan spot size-4.0. Target resolution for hi-res capture was 300dpi at a factor of 450% resulting in +/- 6000 x 5000 pixels; screen res:+/- 600 x 500 pixels at 72dpi; screen-res and thumbnail copies use jpeg compression at setting: 7 in Adobe Photoshop v6.0; 8 bit grayscale; hi-res TIFFs: Gray Gamma 1.8 icc profile embedded.
