Abstract: An image of Mr A T Jones of Llanfair Caereinion in his bus driver's uniform, the senior driver at the Oswestry Depot. He had joined the Great Western Railway in 1919, and started in the train section but later transferred to road transport. In 1925 he started driving at the Wrexham depot but in 1929 he was transferred to Oswestry. After a few weeks he was "out-stationed" at Llanfair Caereinion where he has been ever since. Many changes had taken place since he started his career at the wheel of an old AEC bus which had hard tyres, oil side lamps and acetylene headlamps.
