Abstract: Images of industry in north Wales showing a diamond workshop in Mochdre (GCH11434), men and women at work at a tyre factory (GCH11435-GCH11437, GCH13267-GCH13275), women producing Welsh flannels for the USA at Holywell (GCH11438), staff at Mona Industries, Anglesey, with the clothes airer which can be converted into a baby's play pen or a frame for a wind break for the beach and wooden music boxes, one of which is a model of a Swiss chalet (GCH11439, GCH11431), and views of Trawsfynydd, showing the construction of the nuclear power station (GCH11440, GCH11442, GCH11443, GCH11444).

Minimal tonal adjustments using levels and curves in PhotoShop. Master files archived as pc format TIFFS. On-screen display files resized and adjusted for viewing on gamma 2.2 monitors in PhotoShop and saved in JPEG format. 20 image files; Heidelberg Nexscan F4100 capture device using Linocolor v6.0.4 software. Filter settings: light contour-0.5, dark countour-0.5, smoothnes-0.6, countour width-1.0, scan spot size-4.0. Target resolution for hi-res capture was 300dpi at a factor of 450% resulting in +/- 6000 x 5000 pixels; screen res:+/- 600 x 500 pixels at 72dpi; screen-res and thumbnail copies use jpeg compression at setting: 7 in Adobe Photoshop v6.0; 8 bit grayscale; hi-res TIFFs: Gray Gamma 1.8 icc profile embedded.
