Abstract: Images taken as the last G[reat] W[estern] R[ailway]/Cambrian train under the old regime and the first [British Rail] train following Nationalisation, was to leave from Oswestry to Aberystwyth, including images of the District Traffic Manager, Mr T. C. Sellars, shaking hands with the guard of the last train (gcc05276-gcc05277); the driver (George Owen, Llanidloes), fireman (T. W. Jones, Llanidloes), guard (G. W. Francis, Welshpool) and stationmaster (H. Roberts, Oswestry) on the footplate of the last Llanidloes 8.5 from Oswestry (gcc05284-gcc05285); and Oswestry station as it was at Nationalistation (gcc05281-gcc05283).

Target resolution for hi-res capture was 2700dpi at original size. (35mm Frame); screen-res copies use JPG compression @ 35%; 8 bit; hi-res TIFFs in Grayscale Gamma 1.8.
