Abstract: A view of large ships at the quay side in Bute Docks, Cardiff. On one side a steam train is passing through and in the foreground there are numerous people, some dragging a cart, others with drums.

Cropping, image size, unsharp masking, gamma correction and compression settings for screen res JPEG were made using Adobe Photoshop v6.0.1 and Abobe Imageready v3 Nexscan F4100; Linocolor v6; Black and White points set from GretagMacbeth colour chart; no validation; no encryption key; no watermark. Made from original items. Target resolution for hi-res capture was 300dpi at original size. In some cases this was increased to avoid moircaron effect; Screen-res copies use JPG commpression at approx 35%; 24bit color; Hi-res TIFFs in AppleRGB, Screen-res in sRGB; Apple Colorsync. No control targets.
